To do this, we provide personal care and support services, day and night, to provide or help with things like:
- Getting up and dressed, or getting to bed
- Bathing, washing, shaving
- Safety checks and helping with medications and other health related activities
- Preparing meals
- Assisting with toileting, or other continence requirements
- Advise and signposting for our clients should they require any adaptions or aids to remain comfortable and safe in their own home
- End of life care/hospital discharge
- Alongside this, we can help keep the place clean and tidy, do the laundry or some shopping if required. We offer visits from one hour to twenty four hour care if required.
All of our carers have been trained in the safe way to handle and lift, basic food hygiene safety, the administration of medication, infection control, health and safety in the workplace and the protection of vulnerable adults (POVA). In addition to this, they all have been checked with the Disclosure and Barring Service prior to starting work. Before starting any care package we will meet with a prospective client and any family members or representatives if the client desires, to form a assessment of the clients needs and aspirations and when they would like their visits to take place.
